The FL5 trans not only is stronger, it has far superior shifting smoothness and does not have grinding or lockout issues of the FK8. PPG gears are extremely expensive and do not solve grinding or lockout issues. The converter boxes do not function well and can create many other issues. The FK8TD install method is flawless and rev match works exactly like stock. The only thing that needs to be done after the retro fit is adjust the speedometer offset in the tune to have accurate speed reading. The install includes a BRAND NEW OEM FROM HONDA transmission with all brand new sensors. In the future the car is just as serviceable as it came from the factory and install will be clean and will look like OEM.
NO you can not just throw the trans in and expect it to work. Please DO NOT ask how its done.
